🙁😢 please sir (samantha shannon) can i have some more

like with Priory, the first 300 or so pages are pretty slow-paced. although this is technically a standalone prequel, it helped that I already knew the world! I think it was so slow for me because i spent WAY too much time trying to find every possible connection to Priory characters & compare the Day of Fallen Night world/governments/leaders to those in Priory.

BUT!! I loved it so much. I loved the politics, the conflicts, and all the characters (especially Tuva 🫶🏼). I loved getting to discover how everyone was connected. I couldn’t put the book down once the true action started… i read the last 300 pages in one day!!
