Absolutely boring. A bunch of slave owning pedos live their lives in times of war and peace, while the author periodically takes a sledgehammer to the plot so he can winge about philosophy at a middle school level. I guess for a book written in the 1800s I shouldn't expect much more than that. I wish I would've quit this book after 50 pages, what a waste of time.
