Got this book for free from Berkley via the romance program and omg I really loved it. It is SO campy. This is a really polished book that bounces between humor and actually seriousness of the magical realism and emotions of our MMC basically processing the trauma of being stuck in a statue for 500 years and our FMC recovering from her divorce and the slight romantic suspense of trying not to get arrested. How they all wrap it up is believable in the sense this author left a surprising lack of plot holes (would’ve overlooked them anyway for how much I liked the vibes) but a really fun journey with some added elements I didn’t see coming. The historian/art restoration of the FMC was such a perfect pairing with this man. There’s just 2-3 spice scenes but they are so fire!! Overall this book just really put me in a good mood every time I picked it up.
