Brightest Kind of Darkness. - review of the series. 6 books but more like 5 and a half because the Ethan prequel is only 100 pages… and pointless.
I enjoyed this series as a whole… I had non idea what was reading until book 4 😅 I don’t know anything about Lucifer and Michael and Angels and Satan and Faye and destiny, but maybe if I did this series would have made sense earlier. The first book was good! But I didn’t understand the ending… I wonder if I had more knowledge around the subjects I would have understood. But not understanding? That’s what made me want to read more. The Ethan novella taught me nothing and gave me nothing. Doesn’t really need to exist but it being terrible made me buy the next one to find out what was happening 😂
I believe these books started out as YA genre but by book 4 there was some very vanilla spice and that was nice to read and get to because the sexual tension from book 1 was crazy! Very good author who should definitely stick to romance! Such good build up and release!
I feel like this didn’t need to be as many books as it is. I thoroughly enjoyed it and didn’t want to put the last book down as everything built up and the ending had me surprised too - but happy at the very end. There were little things that didn’t need to exist at all, like the David storyline 🤷🏼♀️ but overall I loved this series!
