i'd like you guys to know that i started reading this at 2 am and it made me crave food that i just had to help myself with a serving of dinner left-overs (pork soup with a variety of mushrooms and spicy stir-fried anchovies with loads of onions).
i enjoyed this so much oh my god.... a cosy slice-of-life cooking manga that also touches on the topic of misogyny? and i dare say that as a big girl myself, i'm rather happy with the way kasuga-san is written; though this volume hasn't directly touched upon the topic of body image, i'm very happy that while kasuga-san being a 'big-eater' is what started the story, it's a source of joy instead of something that is shamed.
also, there are subtle proclamations of love that i really love in this manga—it may not be recognized as something 'romantic' yet, but love IS love! i cherish it in any form!
i just love both of the main characters so much :')
