Some say the plot is not coherent enough, it's just scenes following one another. I see where that comes from, but for a lot of people high school remains exactly this: some funny/not-so-funny stories they tell people forever on family and friend occasions. Sidenote: this is my first Montgomery in book format, I only watched a few Anne movies and a few episodes of the Road to Avonlea series, so I'm no expert.

My only real complaints are the unexplainable, somewhat supernatural 6th sense things in both of the Emily books so far. But apart from those rare occasions, it was a pleasant audiobook from LibriVox.
