Heartsick was a solid book and there isn't much I can say that is bad about it. The characters were enthralling the plot kept me reading.
I will say that it was a slow start and my three star rating comes from the feeling of. "ehh" after finishing. I think it's more a matter of my own personal taste rather than the quality of the book.
I will say this book made me shiver and wince a few times. The book is very dark and twisted. If you can't handle gore or twisted situations don't even attempt this one. This isn't a typical serial killer/ detective novel.
I don't think I will be picking up the rest of this series simply because I really don't want to see what happens between villain and detective. However, if twisted human relationships is your thing this book is well written and I would recommend it.
