This was a really interesting approach to Hades and Persephone and I liked it a lot! For me, Lore Olympus is still the gold standard, however, I liked this a lot more than other retellings I've read. The approach of the thirteen being job titles and not actual gods was super unique and it added some nice flavour to a story that can sometimes feel a bit stale with how many retellings there are. I think the deal with a demon series and court of the vampire queen were stronger books, however, I liked this enough to continue with the series!
