I loved this book from start to finish. It was something that I had just picked up randomly in the bookstore and from reading the first 3 pages immediately tucked it under my arm and ran to the cash register. Geraldine Brooks makes the world of Islamic women open and fully accessible to the curious Westerner who is dying to learn more. Her writing was very clear and provided the answers to my misconceptions I had about these women. I truly feel it should be required reading for most of the ignorant US.
