"Bride" is another enjoyable and quick read by Ali Hazelwood, marking her first foray into paranormal romance. I greatly appreciate her books; they serve as comforting reads, despite occasionally feeling a bit repetitive. This book deviates from the norm in a positive way. The world-building is solid, and I'm eager to explore more stories set in this realm. Will we get to see Serena again? The romance is emotionally charged, although I'm not fond of third-act breakups. It was quite obvious from the beginning who the mate would be, and it became slightly frustrating that they danced around it for so long. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more like it from Ali Hazelwood.
