The Burning Maze by Rick Riordan

4.0

This book so far has been my favorite in the series. Apollo/ Lester has lived through two extremely stressful adventures... however the one he faces now is a whole new level of scary. Not to mention, has a lot more contingencies.

When Lester and Meg reach their mission in finding the next oracle.... they find that the state of California is fighting off random and huge fires! Him, Grover, and Meg are forced to travel to the tunnels underneath the city in order to uncover the oracle and save their new leafy friends!

This book is so so good! You learn more about Meg and her life before her father's demise! We learn about her young childhood years (before Nero created the beast). Along with the legacy he has created before he left. I also loved the return of Grover! What an amazing character to have involved in this specific story line! I was scared that Riordan forgot about Grover! You also get to meet some other famous people in mythology, which is always super interesting.

All in all, this is the single book that has kept me interested in finishing this series!
