REACTION AFTER READING THE BOOK

It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either.
After finishing the book, I was just like... "Meeehh....".
I have read a book like this before, only I loved that one and slightly more realistic that this.
I think that was the reason why I sold this book. I didn't believe the story enough for me go love it.

THE PLOT

The plot was okay I guess.
I think it did a good job in keeping Brant's secret hidden, but there were hints of it. I guess it pretty quick because like I said, I already read a book like this. It wasn't as unpredictable as I wanted it to be.
I did like the unsequenced narrative. I think it would work greatly for those people who have not read something like this before. The element of surprise would definitely be there.

THE CHARACTERS

Layana: I guess she was a good character. I likes how she talks and how much she loves. She wasn't the typical poor shy girl who snagged a rich guy. She was already rich. She's a trustfund girl who had her life planned out for her, but she chose to let loose. I liked how she likes to take charge of the situation and not be placed on the sideline. But... the situation that happened with her and the.. Eheeemmm other guy, got me shaking my head. But other than that, she was okay. Nothing too special.

Brant: I liked him, but like Layana, he wasn't too special. What i liked about him was how perfect and broken he was at the same time. Did I tell you he was a nerdy, sexy guy? Hehe. Okay. Going back, there were times I didn't buy his whole existence but changed towards the later part of the book.

FINAL THOUGHTS

- I wasn't too surprised with the big secret which sucks big time because I felt that was the biggest let down for me.

- The characters were a bit too bland. I didn't connect to them which made me not care for them at all.

- I likes the unsequenced timeline on how this book was told.

- The sex scenes were hot at times, but lacking in some.

- What Layana did was too unrealistic for me.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read. But it wasn't something I would highly recommend to my friends.
