I absolutely loved this book and read it in under 24 hours. My gosh, this was a gem of a book.

I'm not sure what did it for me - the characters (Rudy, Brochan and Grace), the food, the setting (Scotland!), the love story (slow-burn friends-to-lovers romance) - but every single bit of "Ruby Spencer's Whisky Year" worked for me. I'd like to point out that I'm not usually a fan of foodie type novels, but this one was just enough food chatter to grab my attention without boring me too death. I think the food mixed with the atmosphere is what really did it for me. Oh, and the people! I love the village, the setting, the sense of home.

"Ruby Spencer's Whisky Year" was a lighthearted read, with loveable characters, visit worthy setting, and a couple you find yourself cheering for from first meet cute. Ruby's growth made her the perfect heroine and that HEA? Doesn't get more perfect.
