Blood Type by K.A. Linde
4.0
I am a vampire fan. I thought I had every version of vampire there is. Blood Type is a great combination of my favorite types of vampire books. The vampires in this story are powerful, have no real care for the humans other than for their blood, and cannot see beyond what they want. The exception to this rule is Beck. He cares but is still a vampire and has to play the vampire game. I love that he isn't able to show his hand but takes care of Reyna by pushing her away. From the beginning I knew there was more to Beck but I love that I had to read the entire story before I found out what that more was.
Reyna is honorable. She grew up poor and undereducated. Yet she wanted to do more. She wanted that job, that she wanted to be able to help support her family but she didn't know how. Until she found out about the new program that would make money to help her brothers and ease their burdens. That program led her straight to Beck. From the very first meeting the sparks were there. There was no doubt that while she was there to sustain Beck with her blood, there was something more between them. I was excited to read more and find out what would happen between the two of them.
Blood Type is a series and it ends with a cliffhanger. Usually this annoys me but with this one it makes me excited to read the next books.
