I'm a new reader to Helen Scott, but I love fantasy so I signed up for this ARC. I LOVE THIS STORY. I can not wait for book 2. The ending ended how I wanted it to! I believe the Veil is MORRRRE. Im super excited for book 2. I love the main leading ladies. Senara and Wyn. I'm more like Wyn, with books and learning but Senara is a bad mamma jamma who should NOT be messed with. I got so mad how much Senara went through and even Wyn too. People can be so dumb dumb dumb and just dumb. Followers. No mind to to think for themselves. Made me question the Kings standards to be in his kings guard. Dumb king clearly. I loved it. Highly recommend!!!! Love all the sprinkles of fae and magic and I want more of that!!!!
