3.0

I think this would be a 3.5 for me. I was intrigued by the premise of this book from the moment I read a review. The whole "the serial killer isn't on trial...he's on the jury" premise had me hook, line and sinker. If that sounds appealing to you, I would recommend the book. I was excited to read the book and am glad I did. I would say that this followed the same progression a lot of thrillers/mysteries do for me. I was really involved and invested in the lead-up. I loved seeing the planning and being introduced to the characters. I really liked the character of Eddie Flynn. I thought his court room tactics were clever and fun to read about. However, when everything comes to a climax in the last 100 pages or so I just checked out a little. Admittedly, my life doesn't allow for time to sit down and read giant chunks of a book at once and I think I would've liked this more if I could have been immersed for longer instead of being forced by life circumstances to take breaks from the plot for days in-between reads. I am interested in reading the rest of the Eddie Flynn books and have passed this one along to another to read.
