A whirlwind romance when they were 17 ended with Darby leaving without a word and Leo broken hearted. 10 years later she is set to marry a man she does not love, only for Leo to show up and offer her the chance to runaway from her wedding and back into his arms.
This book… man this book. It is very character driven with a huge focus on the character’s emotions. I am not the biggest fan of Second Chance Romance but I would reread this story in a heart beat. The dual timelines were done so well, with a flowery YA feeling to the past timelines while the current timeline retained a more mature atmosphere. I was sucked in from page one.
I could not put this book down and it ended up making me cry, my emotions so invested in these character’s stories.
