Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King

King is often a favorite of mine, when he's not intimidating the bejeezus out of me, but there are some stories that are just a no-go and Dolores Claiborne was one of those stories. The narrative style was daunting and cumbersome and after five pages of exposition regarding the antagonist's BMs, I decided I had had quite enough. This is, unfortunately, one of the pitfalls of the King collection: the sometimes overwrought descriptions.
