A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin
4.0

The funny book, the one everyone absolutely has no criticisms of.

It's good, all things considered. From start to end Greg's books have been good enough reads for me to finish all 5 in a year (or was AGOT last year, I forget)

The only plotline I really didn't care for where Dany's chapters. They were a bit boring as I didn't care for any of the side characters. However the Reek plotline was a highlight. Seeing how absolutely screwed he is was frankly wonderful to read and seeing where it went. Well. I loved it.

Jon's chapters also reached the absolute peak of my enjoyment. And the handful of one-offs or pov's with a couple chapters were pretty fun too, except maybe Quentyn, who I didn't dislike but kinda got bored with during his first chapters.

Overall I liked Dance and I'm looking forward to the next book if it comes out. If it doesn't, I will live. I trust Greg's judgement.

RIP Roy Dotrice, your narration was not amazing, but it is now canon to me, faults and all.
