Legion Of X by Simon Spurrier

4.0

This book continues from Spurrier’s Way of X. It’s dense as hell, but it juggles several story lines pretty effectively. Spurrier does a great job pulling in characters and ideas from Ewing’s X-Men Red. Spurrier’s obsession with characters who have thick accents gets a little tiring, but he makes a justification for each one’s inclusion. I was somewhat annoyed by the seemingly arbitrary accent Mother Righteous has the first time I read this, but, as we will come to learn, it’s pretty crucial to her character.
