The is a situationship, at best. I did not like Rue at all. I skipped through a lot of the last few chapters because I just couldn't bring myself to care about what actually happened. Honestly, the second I read the little warning in the beginning about this book being smuttier, I felt detached from the storyline. Also, it was pretty obvious that Ali Hazelwood set this book up so that she can write about the other couples. Or maybe just Maya and Hark, which is going to be strange not just because of the age gap, but also the fact that Hark still has unresolved feelings about Minami, possibly. Overall, there are just way too many coincidences that bring Rue and Eli together and I didn't trust the foundation of their relationship.

Also, Rue grew up in an unstable household but somehow became a competitive figure skater? Right. I also didn't get why Eli's ex had to be mentioned a billion times! She's not even present in the story. And when Eli insinuated that he would emotionally cheat on his fiance if he was still with her when he met Rue? That was a hard no for me. Why was Maya so invested in her brother's sex life? Also, the undercut was just not it for me.
