Through the Wall by Caroline Corcoran

3.0

Promising premise but the execution left me unimpressed. Part of the disappointment was probably because it is marketed as psychological thriller but, really, this felt like reading diaries of two miserable women with their own issues. No twist, no surprises. Even the supposedly shocking ending was predictable and anti climatic.

The dual narrative worked well for me. Harriet has a solid backstory that gave me enough details to understand her mental state. Lexie, however, was pathetic. While I think fertility issues is an interesting topic to explore, it's hard to sympathize with Lexie because her character is so dislikable, annoying and miserable.

Overall, and okay book. 2.5 stars.
Wouldn't recommend it to anyone, though.
