From the Corner of the Oval by Beck Dorey-Stein

5.0

If you lived in DC in the 2010s, you need this book.

If a man has ever misled you, you need this book.

If all of your friends are moving away, you need this book.

If you can't stop making bad decisions, you need this book.

If you love DC, if you hate DC, if you miss DC, if you're leaving DC, you need this book.

I never do rereads, but honestly, I think I could pick this one back up on an annual basis and find something new every time. Beck Dorey-Stein writes with such painful honesty about the realities of being a 20-something with a glamorous job and a broken heart. It's beautiful and hysterical and gut-wrenching and everything I love about memoirs.
