Such a fun read if you’re a fan of the enemies to lovers trope. All the characters have good and bad things going for them, and even though this is the first book in a series, there was noticeable character development and growth. I am a glutton for stories set in France, and thought the world building was just enough to establish that this world isn’t like our world… but it’s similar enough. Really loved the whole ‘church versus the witches’ part of the story, and I hope we read more about this in the next books!
