Did not finish book. Stopped at 28%.

Okay, I tried. I liked the vibes; it was very much adult Percy Jackson vibes. But, it jumped in too quick which I never thought I would complain about…but I had no clue what was happening??? Also, it seemed like the author was trying very hard to check all of the diverse, woke columns. And I say that as a liberal. Like none of the characters felt natural. And one of them had a racist, police officer dad and reading through her POV was the worst because she was violently racist. 

It just jumped around too much and tried to accomplish too much at once. Really sad I couldn’t get into it.
