Shelba Rook is out on the street after the brothel in Harlem where he rents a room burns down. He needs a job and he needs one fast. He stumbles across the Ross Agency, who just so happens to be looking for a new agent, and Rook just so happens to be quick-thinking and inquisitive. They hire him and he ends up being a good fit. Slightly noir-ish, with cracks of humor here and there, Lost and Found in Harlem is a book I just stumbled across and I'm glad I did. Quick and fun read.
