Possibly a little weird to start revisiting the Animorphs series with #16 but when I saw it sitting in a Little Free Library I couldn’t resist.
This step in the series has us watching Jake grapple with the pressures of leadership and (kind of hilariously with 2020 vision) work/life balance.
Applegate does a great job naturally incorporating explainers into the text of things that happened earlier in the series.
I’d recommend this for anyone who enjoys a throwback to early technology, stories with heavy world building, and sci-fi / youth fiction.
