Always and Forever, Lara Jean is the final book and all about Lara Jean in her senior year of high school. She's dealing with her father's wedding, where to go to college, and what her relationship with Peter is going to be like.
Hilariously I didn't like this book for that romance. If anything, the romance was my least favorite thing in this entire series (despite endless Noah Centineo memes). Peter K is just a mega fuckboi and I never understood why a soft girl like Lara Jean was into him. And to build a relationship into the future with him??? Girl no. John Ambrose was ADORABLE and everything she should have been with. Smh.
I listened to this on audiobook and it flew by so fast and my brain didn't have to be used at all, loved that. It was just so nice to get into this light high school drama after I just got done puking from 50 shades.
I liked the family aspect in this, and Lara Jean is just a cutie. She's still pretty... young but she's wholesome and things never really got too serious in this (despite some side plot with Peter's dad that I didn't care about at all). Lara Jean and her sisters were fun and her father and his wedding to their neighbor was cute.
I'll never understand why this author is obsessed with Lara Jean's daily life because I heard WAY TOO MUCH about Lara Jean making cookies and cleaning. Please... I do not... care... about cooking or the exact way to make a damn cookie. Talk about anything else challenge.
There was a lot of talk about college and that was yet again more frustration because it was all based around Lara Jean / Peter's future like ??? They got into the same fight like three times with Peter being a completely selfish douchebag and getting away with it. Maybe if I actually cared about them but uGH GO AWAY PETER. JOHN AMBROSE IS RIGHT THERE.
But yeah I'm not mad at this book and it was fine. Peter K can still choke but thank you for the brain cleanse.
