I'm used to Alex Michaelides giving me plot twists that make me gasp in surprise, and this one didn't do that for me. I pretty much saw them all coming. The suspense level is great, but there wasn't much shock factor in the end. The epilogue was disappointing. I think the Silent Patient was so good that I've been a little let-down with his other books. But it was still a fun read and I don't regret it. It's just a mid-tier psychological thriller for me.
I do appreciate all of the Greek mythology references and usage though. His settings are always fun. The characters are all sketchy in their own ways. I'll definitely keep reading this author's works, in hope for another banger like Silent Patient. Until then, this will suffice.
