Devney Perry, MA'AM, what do you put in your books?! Because I finished this in a day. Not in 24 hours. In the time between me waking up and going to bed that same night. I thought West was obsessed with Indya, but he had nothing on Jax and his obsession/love of Sasha. And I love me a man who is obsessed.
There is something about a dual POV where we get the man's POV that I just eat up. And the men that Devney Perry writes are just on another level. I mean, I can't quit thinking about Jax and his love for Sasha and their baby. The way he was so gentle with Sasha. Always there for her and letting her open up to him as she was comfortable. Consistently showing her he was going to be there for her and wasn't going to leave her. My goodness. Just so swoony.
I also loved the mystery of who Eddie was. I had an idea, but it was still an added layer to the story, and to Sasha, that just really brings the complexity of people into the forefront of Devney Perry's writing.
There's definitely tension and some spice in this book, but it takes a backseat to the actual relationship blossoming between Jax and Sasha. To me, it was the perfect mix of spice and romance. This one is five stars all around. Go read it!
Thank you to Devney Perry and Valentine PR for an ARC of this book!
