Started this as a audiobook so it took me longer to finish. I feel like we learned absolutely nothing about Jasper or his backstory which made it very hard to be invested in the love story for me. Like im sure Drew did ask him questions about his life but I would’ve liked to see it. It felt more like even the book knew this was a romance so they naturally were going to be super in love instead of showing us why. Also would’ve loved more investigation from drew as to how jasper writes such a female driven genre and how he approaches his female protagonists.

Also the watermelon sugar comment was so cringe. But then almost all their banter was so you kinda just had to get on board with it.
