Inspired Cross-Stitch: 30 Patterns Plus Alphabets to Create Your Own Mantras by Gail Bussi
4.0
A book full of cute, quick cross stitch patterns.
This book has cross stitch patterns for a variety of quick projects, such as pouches, wall hangings, and ornaments. All the patterns have positive messages on them that are designed to help uplift you and add a bit of cheer to your home. They follow a pastel color palette and many have small motif designs added to the words. Plus, there are alphabets charted at the end so you can make your own word-related cross stitch projects.
Overall, the designs are cute and remind me of many of the projects my mom did for me when I was a child (I think it's that 80s and early 90s vibes). Personally, I don't feel like that's my style currently, but I could see the appeal for many people. The charts are easy-to-follow and the patterns are quick and most beginners would be able to complete them without issue. The size means that these would be good projects for giving as gifts, doing between large projects for a break, or because you don't have a lot of time to stitch.
Thank you to NetGalley, Rowman & Littlefield, and Stackpole Books for providing an advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
