Christmas in the Scottish Highlands by Donna Ashcroft
5.0
There’s not much more comforting than secluding yourself in a tiny Scottish village for the weekend… And that’s exactly what I did!
Donna Ashcroft seamlessly wove a cozy Christmas tale that takes place in Christmas Village. Where the plot is a soft, cozy blanket and the characters are the warm fire you sit in front of.
Poor Belle doesn’t see the elderly Edina when she’s riding her bike home one night from the school where she works. One thing leads to another and Edina suffers a broken ankle.
Belle, not the kind to leave an old woman helpless, decides to help see to the mending of the sweet Edina and stays with her in her Scottish castle.
Enter Edina’s handsome, but suspicious, grandson, Jack. These two had chemistry that just sang off the pages and I couldn’t help predicting the inevitable.
However, that didn’t take away from this delightful Christmas story! This one is definitely good for bringing in the Christmas cheer!
