Did not finish book. Stopped at 42%.
Started off super in to this and loving the creepy alone in an estate setting. It went downhill for me as others joined and they were all insufferable and this book really tells you that. Multiple times.
Our MC is being treated terribly and we just sit there watching her take it for the most part while the narrator reminds us over and over why she isn’t really sticking up for herself. The scary vibes were gone and replaced by annoying conversations and arguing.
The writing style where it’s like a script and will tell you something is happening behind the character without her knowing wasn’t really working for me either as the plot progressed.
