Spencer and Brielle’s story unfolded so beautifully, and it was interesting to see the brother’s best trope done a little differently - even if it was a little painful. Overall, this was such a fun read - I really thrive on the drama in these small town romances, despite knowing I could never handle it IRL.

I do really wish I had read this series before the Whitlock Family series (Forbidden Hearts and Broken Dreams) because all three of these books build Addie’s backstory and offer so much insight into her character. That said, it is also okay to read these out of order - I just think Addie’s grief would’ve hit even hard had I read this series first. I do know I’ll reread that one eventually, having the information I have now and I’m excited to see how I feel at that point. (For context, Addie is the widow of Brielle’s brother, aka the victim of the murder that Brielle and Spencer are trying to solve.)
