Very well written, with a complex, coherent plot. Addresses power dynamics and inequality, but not in a heaby-handed way. Also a fun, enthralling read.
Regrettably, the Jewish characters are all problematic. One is a "magical Jew" grandmother, the main character is half Jewish but ruthless and lacking empathy, and the evil character is a money-hungry, ruthless Jew from Israel who literally has to be sacrificed to the Devil to save the good characters. Probably not intentional, but not a good look.
