One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus
4.0

Five students walk into detention one Monday, but only four walk out. What happened to the fifth? He collapsed and died in the middle of detention, seemingly murdered, and the other four present were the only ones who could have committed the crime.
All four had something to lose, something to hide, and the victim -- well, he knew all of their secrets.
So, was it the jock? The beauty queen? The social outcast? Or the overachiever?

I did really enjoy this read and found it un-put-downable. I was a bit underwhelmed with the twist, but mostly because lately, all I read are thrillers, so I'm in a twisty state-of-mind.

But I liked how the book brought to attention the difficulty of being in high school, the pressures of social media, and the cruelty of students. There are all issues to be aware of, especially in a present where school shootings happen entirely too much.

I for sure recommend this fun thriller!!
