Sacred Serenity by Audrey Carlan

4.0

3.5 I wasn't use to a lot of religion in a book before. It took me a moment to get used to it. Or maybe it was just super intense in the first half of the book. However, it didn't deter me from finishing their journey. It was her belief and I think it fit her character really well. There were moments where I felt like she was a bit judgemental (though it was because of her own beliefs). But I also do like that she stuck for her beliefs.
Spoiler Still, she ends up deciding what her beliefs meant to her and Dash did the same. Them both realizing that it is their decision on whether or not on how they define their love. Only they control what happens to them and no one else has that control. Her declaring her virginity to him and him proposing to her was a testimony to their feelings for each other. It was cute.
It isn't my favorite book so far of this series, but it isn't bad either. I just don't think I'll be picking it up again.
