The Madness of Viscount Atherbourne by Elisa Braden

4.0

This prologue is one of the darkest I've read in a HR. Atherbourne is definitely charismatic and I can totally understand the heroine being drawn to him right away. I'm not into insta-love but I loved their chemistry since their very first encounter. Those two are fire incarnated. I loved the all vengeance plot and how we slowly discover the truth. Victoria is an amazing heroine who deserved better than have Colin for younger brother. This character is one of the worst I've read in HR. How people keep finding him excuses is beyond me. I completely understand Athersbourne's need of revenge and wish he could have it. But for romantic purposes I get it that he can't. Beside, him and Victoria are too adorable together. When he discovers her drawings of him... swoon.

I've read the first 3 books of this series so far and this one is still my favorite. But I still have to read Chatham's book, who is apparently a fan favorite. He definitely got me intrigued so far.
