Mercy Blade by Faith Hunter

I didn't enjoy Mercy Blade as much as the first two in this series. It seemed a bit repetitive- it just felt like Jane was doing the same thing again and again.
I also really disliked the 'romance' aspects, Bruiser was really pushy- you just don't hit on someone who is made it clear they don't want to do anything with you (even if they find you hot) after they've just been attacked and are shaken up enough they won't just tell you no. We barely see Rick in the book after the first few chapters- his main role seems to be causing angst for Jane.
I'm not a fan of the Christian aspect, Jane seems to use it to make herself feel guilty- deciding that she's broken the 'rules' and is therefore a bad person.
I do like the world and when she's not being angsty Jane is a great character so I will read the next in the series.
