The suspense portion of this story was really well done. Belladonna definitely kept Lori and Nick hopping. I liked how they saw each other initially and how they shared how they got feelings over time. Nick was very intense and it did not come across solely as a way to protect his own feelings. The story of why Lori was in WITSEC was definitely interesting. I kind of wish this was a 300-page book instead. There was so much that could have been done to expand the characters. This was a nice, quick rom-suspense read.
