My feelings about this book are complicated. The historical parts in Asia Minor and Detroit were interesting. The interaction between generations held my attention. Yet so much of the book made me feel icky. I can appreciate the writing and the struggles but I didn’t like it. I pressed on because it was in my list and I don’t quit on books usually, I was happy to turn the last page.
