Wow. I took my time reading this to really savour each passage. Every sentence was precise and purposeful, I can only imagine how it feels to read it in the original Arabic.
Politically salient, beautiful prose, and an exacting honesty. Very unique storytelling while highlighting what has become banal. Haunting and important.
