Captain America: The Man With No Face by Ed Brubaker

3.0

More like 3 1/2 stars. This is the next step in Bucky's journey towards, not happiness because happiness and James Barnes don't really go together hand in hand but towards some kind of peace with himself, his past as Captain America side kick, his dark past as the Winter Soldier and his present as Captain America and the weight of Steve's legacy on his shoulders.

This is somewhat a transitional volume in between The Death arc and the Reborn arc but it stands on its own especially because of James' friendship, relationship with Natasha. Both Black Widow and Winter Soldier have baggage that weights them down and also push them forward to be make things better, often at the expense of their own lives.

This and Black Widow's 'The Name of the Rose' are good a good fit to read together.
