Christa Comes Out of Her Shell
by Abbi Waxman
Abbi Waxman is my favorite contemporary author! I preordered this, back in February, and was delighted when it appeared on my porch. It did not disappoint.
When I'm reading one of Waxman's books, I think, This. This is reading for fun. The story moves quickly, the characters are (mostly) likable, and the story feels real.
Christa, the main character, is a nerd. And I love that. I'm a nerd, too, and am the main character in my life. More books about relatable nerds, please!
