I received and ARC for this book and he was my first time so i'll try my best.
I did enjoy the book. the characters were pretty strong. Dayanara was strong, funny, spicy character and i think her development in the book was well done. Every character was unique in their own way and brought something necessary to the book. As far as i'm concern, Lupa, Dayanara's mother definitely needs some help, this woman is a piece of work. I will say no more HAHAHHA, you'll find it on your own.
The world building was good but i think the author is going to bring more substance in the next book. the magic system was well explained.
the only thing for me, I still found it a little bit difficult to connect with the characters, but maybe it's me. I found it difficult to fully dive in when the character have multiple love interest, I'm more like girl choose one, but it's all about preferences.
I'm still thankful, Mikayla trusted me enough with her book. I wish her success for the next one.
