For more than half the book I was struggling with the number of characters and no obvious clues as to who was most central to the story. Each scene change I would have to stop as each person was mentioned and try and remind myself who they were and what their story was. Ultimately this proved just too distracting for me to really like this book. Hopefully the subsequent books in the series each have a smaller subset of characters (and a few more likeable ones!) as I think I would enjoy that a lot more. The setting (physical location and business premise) were definitely interesting.
