Having read a lot of Poirot books recently I thought I would try a Miss Marple, but I think I chose badly - she was barely in this one!
The plot was a bit convoluted; too many characters and irritating coincidences (minor spoiler:
Spoilerthe whole business with Alexander's friend's mum being Edmund's ex-fiancee was a bit strange, especially when she had a connection with Alexander's dad too
) that only seemed to be there to throw the scent off the real murderer.
But maybe I'm just bitter - I really thought I'd worked this one out, sadly it was not to be.
