This is definitely a read you grow more fond of over time. I was instantly hooked by the story's premise. Cats? in a museum? In Paris? It didn’t end up being what I expected it to be but it was still enjoyable. It has a surreal and literary element.

The artwork could have been a bit better. I like the style except for the humanoid cats. I wished they didn’t have human versions at all. This affected my score by a lot, unfortunately. It wouldn’t have been a five-star but it wouldn’t have been higher.

It is a short book, in terms of mangas it is pretty long but it is standalone. In its short span, it explores its themes well. One of the cats was mocked for being fat and everyone only got concerned when he got sickly. I wished we had learned more about the sister and her reasons for staying inside the painting.

Overall, it's not a masterpiece but an enjoyable read. As long as you skip the human cat drawings of course..
