okay, so I had to dnf'd this for a while, picked it up again after a few weeks but this time I listened through its audiobook, stopped again 😅, then finished it by reading its book.
The process I had to go through just to finish this book — wew.
The early parts, in my opinion, are a bit dragging. There are also instances where I kinda hate Audrey Rose for acting on her own and leaving her partner. (Hence, the reason why I had to dnf it for a while because I don't want to completely ruin this series for me). But the latter part of the story, I think, is actually better. I was able to appreciate Audrey Rose's dilemma over Thomas and Mephistopheles more, solving the murder mysteries started getting more exciting. Let's just say I came back to this book with a better perspective. 😂
